HootSuite: an excellent web-based Twitter client. It offers a wide range of facilities, including posting from multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts, scheduled posting, multiple columns, threading, multiple users, RSS/Atom feed capability and some nice stats tools. HootSuite is here.
Ubuntu Linux: a real alternative to Windows (and Macs). Ubuntu is a free operating system, complete with plenty of software making it in many cases a straight replacement for Windows. It is for almost all practical purposes virus free – most viruses are written to attack Windows systems. Adrian Higgs Copywriting has used Ubuntu systems for the past several years.
